I was laid off yesterday from a role in a startup. Of course a lot of people were laid off not just me. I ask the hiring manager about the fact that they laid off all of QA. His answer is that its a common strategy to lay off QA to save money.
Is that true?
I have found that when I have been in pure QA role that I have been laid off after short stays at a company. When I was in the role of Test Automation Engineer and my job was tool building I had long job tenure.
