Using special sonar technology, the app sends inaudible sound waves that are them reflected off the user’s body and then received back into the microphone. The app then interprets the sound to sense breathing rate and body movements.
That is used to determine what sleep stage your in, the number of times you wake during the night, and the time it takes to fall asleep.
Developer SleepScore Labs says that the app has been tested and validated against equipment from accredited sleep labs around the world.
Each morning, users will receive a 1-100 score of how the slept with the breakdown of all the important data. Sleep history for the past seven days is also available.

In the app, users can also select specific goals like sleep longer or wake up less. They’ll then receive advice and challenges to help meet the goal.
You can also customize a smart alarm to gently wake you at an ideal time during the sleep cycle.
Designed for the iPhone, SleepScore can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
A premium version of the app is available with an in-app subscription purchase of $5.99 per month or $49.99 per year.
With that, users can view their complete sleep history along with a trends and correlations analysis. All of that data can be exported, and the app can even create a special sleep report for a doctor to view and possibly discuss other steps.
