I’m aware of Selenium for that a browser-based UI behaves as expected with respect to UI elements, but I’m having a hard time find a that will also verify that in the browser produces correct AJAX requests (URL was correct, data in request was correct, required headers set) in isolation. Ie, a unit test for the AJAX bits, where the backend API can be mocked/non-functional/absent.

Is there a tool that can automate inspection of outbound AJAX calls from the UI JS?
