Tricentis and QASymphony have announced last their agreement to merge. Even if the official word is “merger” the new entity will be name Tricentis, Sandeep Johri, CEO of Tricentis, will be the CEO of “merged” company and the press releases states that “QASymphony’s 100+ employees will be joining Tricentis’ 450+ employees”. So that is not difficult to assume which company is the most powerful part of this “merger”.
The main product of QASymphony headquartered in Atlanta is the qTest platform that streamlines development workflows by integrating testing with other software development and delivery tools like Atlassian’s Jira, CA Agile Central, Github, Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins. The main product of Tricentis is Tosca, a Continuous Testing platform that accelerates testing to keep pace with Agile and DevOps. Founded and headquartered in Vienna (Austria) Tricentis has already a strong footprint in the European German-speaking market. We think that the main rationale of the deal for Tricentis is to get additional visibility and customers in the USA. It will be interesting to see how overlapping products from both companies evolve in a near future.
